News
News is the house announcements people meet in the News widget on the dashboard. Messages for the whole building that do not belong in a notification to individuals.
Posts arrive two ways: you write them here, or a system you already use sends them in.
Writing a post
Link to this headingManual post takes a Title, a Body (Markdown), a Kind, and an optional Expires date. Set an expiry on anything perishable — a rehearsal change this week should not still be sitting there in November.
Recent (last 25) lists what has been published, with Delete to remove a post. If a post was emailed out, it shows how many people got it and when.
A post shows for a reader when they fall inside its audience and have not dismissed it themselves.
Posts from another system
Link to this headingIf you have an intranet or CMS that is already where people write, it can post here instead. Mint token creates a webhook token with a Label — name it after the system, so you know which token is which.
The page shows an example of what a submission looks like, so whoever sets the connection up has something concrete to work from.
Each token shows when it was created and last used — useful for seeing whether a connection is actually alive. Revoke shuts a token off without touching the posts it has already sent.
