Dashboard
Dashboard is where you land after signing in, and what you return to from the top of the sidebar. It gathers widgets that answer one question: what needs attention today.
What you get is not the same for everyone. Each widget has a default per role, so an admin sees different things than a technician. Today holds the day’s figures; the rest of the page is your widgets.
What the widgets show
Link to this headingMost people get Your week across the top, with Next event, Your timesheets, Your leave and Notifications below it. That is the daily core: what you are called to, and what is waiting on you.
If you lead other people, Pending approval and Open shifts join them — timesheets needing an answer, and shifts nobody clocked out of. Admins also get Accounts expiring, Email failures (7d) and Recent admin activity.
If you run projects, there are Projects, Project budget burn and Project events this week. Quick links and News are open to everyone.
Customising your own dashboard
Link to this headingCustomise opens the list of your widgets. Use Move up and Move down for the order, and Hide to drop a widget without losing its position — it stays in the list as Hidden and comes back with Show. Done closes the list.
Each widget is marked Follows org default or Overridden, so you can see what is your own choice and what comes from your role. Reset to defaults clears all your overrides at once.
Defaults for the role
Link to this headingAdmins with permission to manage the dashboard set the starting point per role. That is what new users meet the first time they sign in, and what everyone who has not overridden anything keeps following.
If your dashboard is empty, it is usually because your role has no defaults yet. Add widgets yourself under Customise, or ask an admin to set them for the role.
