Reservation Reasons

Admin → Reservation Reasons defines the categories person reservations are recorded under. Each reason has:

• Colour — shown as a band on the timesheet grid and the person profile.
• Leave category — sick, vacation, parental, training, unpaid, or other. The category governs how the leave flow and balance ledger treat the reason.
• Private flag — see below.
• Sort order and a description.

Private reasons

A private reason shows as a generic Blocked marker to everyone except the person themselves and holders of the private-reason permission — and every reveal is audit-logged. Use private for sensitive categories like sickness.

Reasons in use are deactivated rather than deleted — existing reservations keep their reason.
