The season and holiday calendar
runorder has three calendar layers that play together, and they’re easiest to set up in this order:
- Theatre seasons frame the year — “2026 / 2027” with a start and end. The season is the peg the season view, the holidays, and the averaging defaults hang on.
- Holidays mark the red days — pulled automatically per country, or entered manually, optionally scoped to a season or group.
- Vacation policies make the calendar personal: the holidays flow into the policies, which add allowances, mandatory closures, and scheduled days — and attach to the work types people actually have.
You see the result everywhere: the year view shows the days, the planner steers around them, timesheets calculate correctly, and the leave flow knows what each person is entitled to.
If you change the calendar mid-year, the change applies going forward — recorded hours and approved leave are not recalculated.
