The quick-plan panel
The quick-plan panel — Quick plan — sits above the tab strip on the planner and is where fast, repetitive planning happens. Arm who you’re planning for and which template to use, and every empty cell in the grid becomes a placement button.
Arming and placing
Link to this heading- Click a production in the list — or a project, when your organisation has projects with events. One of the two at a time; arming one disarms the other. The list sorts by what you used most recently.
- Click a template pill. Templates marked Global apply to the whole organisation; the rest belong to the armed production or project. The armed row shows Armed.
- Click empty cells across the week: each click places the template’s event with the right times in that cell. The panel takes on the armed production’s colour so you always see who you’re planning for.
Click the template pill again — or press Esc — to disarm. Clear drops everything.
When the room is taken
Link to this headingIf a placement collides, an alert pulses in the panel: Conflicts with “the title” in the room, linked to the event. Choose Place anyway to override deliberately — it’s audited — or Dismiss and pick another cell. See Resolving room conflicts.
Managing the templates
Link to this headingThe panel links straight to the template library: Manage global templates (administrators, under Admin → Event Templates) and Manage templates for this production on the production page. The panel can be hidden with Collapse when you need the space — it remembers the choice and still shows what’s armed.
