Your first week with runorder
The first week is about getting the foundations right: rooms, people, and a working production. The order below is chosen so each step gives the next step the data it needs.
Day 1–2: the organisation

Day 3: the first production
Link to this headingCreate a real production — not a test one — following Creating your first production. Set the opening date and closing date right away; the planner’s year view uses them to draw the season picture.
Day 4: templates and the first events
Link to this headingCreate event templates under Admin → Event Templates for the patterns you repeat — stage rehearsal, performance, technical run-through. Then place the first week of events on the planner with the templates armed. This is where the setup starts paying off.
Day 5: the team
Link to this headingAdd people following Bringing your team in, and set their roles under Admin → Users. Wait until the plan has content — the first meeting with runorder should show a plan that means something, not an empty grid.
