The timesheet period

A timesheet period is one week — Monday to Sunday. The period gathers the week’s entries with total hours, and carries the status that governs what can change: Draft, Submitted, Approved, or Rejected.

  1. Draft — you record freely. The week is created automatically on first entry.
  2. Submitted — you’ve sent it for review; the period is locked for you. Reopen for editing undoes the submission as long as the manager hasn’t decided.
  3. Approved or Rejected — the manager’s decision, with a banner and an optional note. A rejected week reopens for correction.

Self-approving days

Before submitting, you can vouch for individual days with Approve my hours — the day is marked Self-approved. It’s a signal to the approval queue that the day is ready, and can be undone with Un-approve. The manager’s approval shows as Manager approved.

Reviewers see their team’s periods here too — but the queue work happens in the approval queue.
