The daily planning surface
Link to this headingPlace events, arm templates, resolve room conflicts, and publish the week to the building. The planner is where the week’s running order takes shape — first as a draft, then posted to the wall.
Placing events on the planner
BASEThe planner shows events per room across week, month, year, list, and season views. Place one-off events in empty cells, or arm a template in the quick-plan panel for repeating patterns.
Event detail
BASEEdit timing, room, type, and status, call in attendees and whole departments, split into sub-events and rehearsal segments, and choose whether attendees are notified when you save.
New event
BASECreate a single event — production, title, and type are required; room, times, status, comment, and meeting link are set in the same form. Room conflicts block the save with a link to the event you're colliding with.
Year view
BASEThe season's density map — one square per day, darker the more that happens. Pick the period with the from/to months, save periods as presets, and use the map to find busy and open weeks.
Resolving room conflicts
BASEOverlaps in the same room are flagged across productions and projects. Move the event, or override deliberately with Place anyway — the override is audited and the people affected are notified.
The quick-plan panel
BASEArm a production or project plus a template, and place events with one click per cell. The armed selection lives in the URL, so it survives reloads and can be shared.
Keyboard shortcuts and the command palette
BASEThe planner is keyboard-driven — switch views with W, M, and Y, jump periods with the bracket keys, and reach every command via the command palette with Cmd/Ctrl+K.
