The projects list

Projects cover workstreams that aren’t productions — touring runs, cost-center hour buckets, operational initiatives, and rollup parents. A project still gets the same machinery: events on the planner, participants, files, a budget, and call sheets.

Projects in the menu shows every active project with title, template, status, billing, budget burn, parent project, and last updated. The colour dot and short code make the project recognisable on the planner and in reports.

Status and lifecycle

A project is in one of four statuses: Pre-production, Active, On hold, or Closed. It also has a lifecycle — Temporary for time-bound initiatives, Recurring for standing structures like annual hour buckets.

Archived projects are hidden from the list by default; the filter can show only archived ones. Archiving is done by administrators under Admin → Projects.

Filtering and reading the burn

The filters at the top narrow by status, template, lifecycle, archive state, and billable/not — and the search matches title, subtitle, and code.

The Budget burn column shows hours used against the budget for the current period. Green is within; amber means over 70% used; red means over 90%. Projects without a budget show a dash.

Hours recorded against a project land in timesheets with the project as a dimension, and the Project attendance and Project budget burn reports are available under Reports when the Projects module is on.
