Sidebar pins

Admin → Sidebar pins sets the shortcuts everyone in a role gets in the sidebar, without pinning them themselves. A technician who should always have the time clock one click away, or a manager who should have the approval queue, gets it there from the first sign-in.

Default pins show above the user’s own pins. The user can still pin, unpin and reorder their own as before — the defaults are an addition, not a lock.

Adding a default

Pick the role at the top: Admin, Manager or User. Under Add a default fill in a Label and the path the page lives at. The path must start with /; links out of runorder are not allowed. An optional icon — an emoji or one or two letters — is what shows when the sidebar is collapsed.

Rows are edited in place: change the label, path or icon and Save. Move up and Move down set the order, Remove takes the pin away for the whole role.

Sidebar and dashboard are two lists

This is the sidebar. The tiles on the dashboard are the user’s own shortcuts, and those have no per-role default.

The page takes the permission to manage the sidebar.
